MOUNT MARKHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT STAFF SHOUT-OUT JIM WROBEL & BETH WILSON THE NOMINATOR WROTE: "On the morning when our passwords expired and I ran into difficulties changing my password and logging into the computer, Beth advised me on how to reach Jim immediately and urged me to contact him by phone. Recognizing that this was not a routine web help desk request, her assistance and advice were essential. Jim, despite being flooded with requests this morning, promptly addressed my need and I was able to access this technology - which many of our jobs rely heavily upon - within 5 minutes. Because he addressed this urgent problem immediately, I was able to quickly return to my job duties with minimal interruption. These individuals are so giving and make a real difference in how smoothly our schools operate." images: Mount Markham Mustang, Beth Wilson & Jim Wrobel, red background, yellow and white text

MOUNT MARKHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT STAFF SHOUT-OUT MIKE GROSS MIKE'S NOMINATOR WROTE: "I just really wanted to say thank you again for solving so many problems yesterday. The fact that you were able to solve two problems that had been ongoing for 30+ days in less than 30 minutes just because l'd mentioned them while you were inquiring about a different problem is truly appreciated. You understand that nonfunctioning software has an educational impact on our students, and you went out of the way to ensure the problems were solved so that said impact was minimized. I know you've said in the past that you don't need the "thank you's." but you have no idea what a relief it is to finally have the software used for every single one of my classes back up and running the way it's supposed to - your work ethic doesn't go unnoticed." images: Mike Gross, Mount Markham Mustang

Over the past two days, students in Ms. Culver's ELA 9 class were encouraged to explore the library and find independent reading titles by working together, under the guidance of Ms. Bailey and Ms. Tabor, to create Book Charcuterie Boards. Students reviewed the text of 5-7 novels and justified why and where each title should be included on their Book Charcuterie Board. Categories included Olives for Horror, Chocolate for Romance, Salted Meats for Realistic Fiction, and more. To round out the activity, Ms. Teater invited students into the Connected Community Schools HUB for a snack tray of goodies to celebrate a job well done.
