Mount Markham Elementary School aims to positively impact the lives of our students by building a solid and sustainable foundation for life-long learning while addressing the needs of each child and inspiring them to reach their fullest potential. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to achieving this mission.

At Mount Markham Elementary School, we offer a variety of special programs, including:

  • Character education programs in grades K-3
  • Parents as Reading Partners 
  • Banana Splits
  • Conflict Resolution for 4th graders
  • Arts-in-Education
  • Chorus for students in grades 3 & 4

  • Volunteering at School:

    • Classroom assistance: Help with activities, read to students, or assist with projects.
    • School events: Volunteer at events like book fairs, fundraisers, or school dances.
    • Field trips: Accompany classes on educational outings.
       

    Participating in School Organizations:

    • MOMMS (Mothers of Mount Markham Students): Attend meetings, participate in fundraising, and support school initiatives.

    All schools in our district use ParentSquare for school communication primarily with email, text, and app notifications.

    ParentSquare automatically syncs with our student information system to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
