MOST RECENTLY, HE WAS TASKED WITH THROWING AGAINST WEST CANADA. THEY CAME INTO TOWN WITH A 5-0 RECORD LEADING THE CENTER STATE CONFERENCE, AT 4-0. PCOLA THREW 5.2 IP, ONLY GIVING UP 3 HITS, 5 WALKS, AND AN ASTOUNDING 10 STRIKEOUTS, TO LEAD THE MUSTANGS TO VICTORY 7-1 OVER WEST CANADA! CAM IS CURRENTLY RANKED 7TH FOR HITTING IN SECTION III CLASS C, WITH A HITTING AVERAGE OF 0.571. Mount Markham Middle School did its own (Exercise) March Madness this year, which ran a bit long because of Spring Break. Students and staff got to vote on their favorite exercise every round. We started with 64 exercises, but there can only be one winner. Our winning exercise was Jumping Jacks!

Our Varsity Baseball team is kicking off the season with team bonding and high morale! On Sunday, the team met at Applebee's for a group lunch. Also, Coach Justin Plows had a banner made - featuring the baseball team - to celebrate our athletes. We are looking forward to a great, fun season!

MOUNT MARKHAM ATHLETICS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3/11 - 3/15 JENNA KOCIENDA BASKETBALL JENNA HAS BEEN A LEADER ALL YEAR, AND THE END OF THE SEASON WAS NO DIFFERENT. JENNA LED IN SCORING AND REBOUNDING, SCORING HERSELF ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN THE WIN AGAINST LAFAYETTE. IN THAT GAME SHE WENT 13 FOR 15 FROM THE FREE THROW LINE, 13 REBOUNDS, 22 POINTS, 3 ASSISTS, 2 STEALS AND 3 BLOCKS. IN THE SECOND ROUND SECTIONAL GAME VS HAMILTON SHE ONCE AGAIN LED THE TEAM WITH 17 POINTS AND 7 REBOUNDS. GREAT TWO GAMES TO END OUR SEASON. THIS SEASON, DOM SET THE SCHOOL RECORD IN PINS IN A SEASON WITH 34. DOM IS ALSO THE SCHOOL'S HIGHEST PLACE FINISHER WITH A 4TH AT 215 WEIGHT CLASS.
