Felicity Gifford has been selected as the Mt. Markham Optimist Club 8th Grade Youth of the Month for May. She is the daughter of Anna and Justin Gifford of West Winfield, NY.
While in middle school, Felicity participated in modified field hockey, modified volleyball, modified basketball, and modified softball. She is a member of the Yearbook Club, Junior FFA Club, and the National Junior Honor Society. Felicity is enrolled in the Accelerated Algebra, Living Environment, ELA, and Advanced Technology classes.
Felicity has been on the Gold and Silver Honor Roll throughout middle school. In athletics, she was selected for the Little League All-Star Softball Team, has received the award for the most assists on her field hockey team, and has been chosen as a captain on her field hockey, volleyball, and basketball teams. She strives to set a positive example for younger students and her teammates.
Outside of school, Felicity plays summer softball and volleyball. She has volunteered at The Federated Church, assisting with community clean-up efforts, and has raised money for comfort care bags for cancer patients. She has also volunteered at the concession stands for baseball and field hockey. Felicity’s future plans include going to college to become a dermatologist.
