Elaina Coffin has been selected as the Mt. Markham Optimist Club 8th Grade Youth of the Month for November. She is the daughter of Kayla Flint and Charles Coffin of West Winfield, NY.
Throughout her time in Middle School, Elaina has actively participated in soccer, volleyball, and track, and is enrolled in the accelerated English 8 class and the Studio Art class. Elaina has consistently achieved Honor Roll status for multiple quarters and has been selected as team captain for the 7th-grade volleyball team twice.
Elaina is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society and often volunteers at the 5th and 6th-grade social hour held at school. Outside of school, she plays club volleyball and volunteers at the Food Pantry. Elaina has also participated in initiatives to buy Christmas gifts for underprivileged kids through several different organizations. Elaina’s future plans include attending medical school to become a neurologist.
