Baylee Hendrickson has been selected as the Mt. Markham Optimist Club 8th Grade Youth of the Month for October. Baylee is the daughter of Crystal Johnson and Roman Hendrickson of West Edmeston, NY.
While in middle school, she has been involved in modified soccer, modified volleyball, and modified softball as well as Yearbook Club, National Junior Honor Society, and the middle school band. Baylee is a student in the Accelerated Algebra, Living Environment, ELA, and Studio Art classes and has been on the Honor Roll every quarter, including five on the Gold Honor Roll. Last year, she received four MMTA awards and has served as a team captain for volleyball, soccer, and softball.
Outside of school, Baylee plays club volleyball and volunteers with the 5th and 6th-grade MMAYA girls soccer team. She has also volunteered at the West Winfield Fall Festival. Baylee’s future plans include going into the criminology field and becoming either a lawyer or a crime scene investigator.
