London Sirko has been selected as the Mount Markham Optimist Club 8th Grade Youth of the Month for September. London is the daughter of Caleb and Megan Sirko of West Winfield, NY.
While in middle school, London has been involved in the Yearbook Club and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She is the president of the Student Council and the president of Junior FFA.
London is a student in the Accelerated Math, Science, and ELA classes as well as the Advanced Technology class. London has received several MMTA awards and has been on the Gold Honor Roll throughout her years at Mount Markham Middle School. She has also been awarded the Jacket Award for FFA and received the district’s Junior Extemporaneous Speaking Award for FFA.
Outside of school, London enjoys working at her grandparents' greenhouse and farm, hiking, fishing, hanging out with friends and family, traveling, swimming, and attending church.
London’s future plans include attending nursing school and furthering her education to become a Nurse Practitioner in a hospital setting.
