Congratulations to Dustin Walker and Robert Huntley who have been named All-CNY boys winter volleyball all-stars. This recognition comes from syracuse.com which highlights players who excelled during the 2024-25 season.
Robert Huntley, a junior, plays both outside and middle on the team. He credits his coaches for inspiring him, and ultimately leading him to fall in love with the sport. His favorite memory from the season was the Oneida Tournament. “That was before my shoulder started hurting, and I hit 100 kills that day alone,” he recalls. Robert is always striving to improve by reaching his goals and setting new ones after that. He looks forward to his senior year where he will play soccer, volleyball, and tennis.
Senior setter, Dustin Walker, acknowledges the role his father played in inspiring him to play volleyball. “He played in high school and growing up, I would always play at home with him,” he shared. Looking back on his final season at Mount Markham, Dustin enjoyed playing in the senior tournament. “It was a lot of fun combining with other teams and learning to adjust to new players. Dustin will be attending SUNY Morrisville after graduation, where he will major in Equine Science and minor in Real Estate. He will also ride horses competitively in college.
