Mount Markham Central School proudly hosted its annual Career Fair on May 19, welcoming approximately 500 students in grades 5-12 for an engaging and educational opportunity to explore future career pathways.
The event featured 21 presenters representing a wide variety of local careers, businesses, and industry professionals, giving students firsthand exposure to the many opportunities available within their communities and beyond. Representatives from multiple career sectors shared valuable insight into their professions, educational requirements, workplace expectations, and the skills needed for success in today’s workforce.
Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to interact directly with professionals, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of different career paths. The Career Fair was designed to inspire students to begin thinking about their future goals while helping them connect classroom learning to real-world careers.
“At Mount Markham Central School, we are committed to preparing our students for success beyond graduation,” said Hannah Raymond, MMCSD Work-Based Learning Coordinator. “Providing opportunities like our Career Fair allows students to explore possibilities, build connections, and better understand the many pathways available to them as they plan for their futures.”
