We are thankful to announce that the St. Patrick’s Day Mad Mile (directed by the owners of The Sneaker Store) has made a donation of $750.00 to the Jessica Cooper Scholarship Fund.
The Mad Mile is a one-mile road race dedicated to Jessica Cooper’s memory that takes place annually ahead of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Utica. Chris Falcone served as a representative of Jessica’s family and Mount Markham CSD during the St. Patrick’s Day Mad Mile.
This year’s title sponsor, Standard Insulating Company, helped make this donation possible in addition to the generosity of community members running and donating in Jessica’s honor.
The total donation is comprised of directed donations from community members and runners, collected on the scholarship’s behalf, as well as a donation directly from The Sneaker Store from the proceeds of the race registration fees.
