    Parent & Student Athlete meetings for anyone interested in the following sports are scheduled as follows in the High School Auditorium:

    Wednesday September 16th
    Varsity Field Hockey 5pm
    Cross Country (grades) 7-12 5:30pm
    Varsity Boys Soccer 6pm
    Varsity Girls Soccer 6:30pm

    Thursday September 17th

    JV Girls Soccer 6:30pm

    All interested student-athletes should plan to attend.

  • Free Meals for K-12 Students!

    Exciting News!

    We’re happy to share that the USDA and New York State Education Department have approved free breakfast/lunch meals for students 18 and under, through the end of December 2020. Specific to Mount Markham, the Food Service Department will be working with the High School, to accommodate students needing ‘To-Go’ bags on their virtual learning days.

    Please note that we’ll still be asking families to fill out the Free/Reduced application, as this program will expire in December. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

  • Reopening Update

    GREAT NEWS! Last Friday, Governor Cuomo announced that all schools can reopen in the Fall. As outlined in our reopening plan, Mount Markham students in grades PK-8 will be attending school every day. Students in grades 9-12 will be attending school every other day, following a blended learning model. A team of 40 school community members developed the framework of our reopening plan over a six-week period in the summer. Numerous surveys and data collection measures were used to guide the decision-making process. This reopening plan is in complete alignment with the guidelines set forth by the New York State Department of Health, State Education Department, Center for Disease Control, Board of Regents, and Office of the Governor.

    Please note that we will be hosting 3 virtual parent forums to provide you with a summary of our reopening plan and review some essential safety procedures. During these virtual forums, we will provide you with an easy to follow overview of our plan and take you on a virtual tour of each building. You will see how classrooms have been set up to ensure physical distancing, arrival and dismissal procedures, parent drop off times and locations, hallway traffic patterns, student screenings and daily temperature scans, breakfast and lunch procedures, precautionary PPE and mandatory reequipments, and an overview of our enhanced cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting protocols. You will also have the opportunity to post questions and a frequently asked questions (FAQ) database will be created for your perusal.
