Welcome to Kindergarten!
Hi my name is Mrs. Bartlett and I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year!
All About Me:
I grew up down the road in Richfield Springs on Canadarago Lake. After graduating high school I then went on SUNY Oneonta where I received my degree in education. When I graduated from SUNY Oneonta I began my teaching career as a UPK teacher and then became a Kindergarten teacher here at Mt. Markham. I now live in Sharon Springs with my husband Ryan, our 18 month old son Carson, our dog Bo and our soon to be born son in October. I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten and look forward to getting to know your child this year.
Your child will be very busy this year learning letter names/sounds, how to recognize and produce rhymes, how to read decodable words, sight words and how to write. In math your child will learn basic one to one counting, adding and subtracting, how to recognize and compose/decompose shapes and much more.
Snack Milk is $0.50 per day. You may send in money for multiple days and we will keep track with a milk ticket.
Snack - We will have snack every morning, so it is very important to pack your child a snack. Snack ideas fruit, cheese sticks, yogurt, crackers, granola bars, or vegetables. I encourage healthy snacks as much as possible for all the students, if a student brings candy in for snack I do ask that they wait to eat it when they get home.
Lunch is $2.00 per day and breakfast is $0.75. A monthly lunch menu will be sent home at the beginning of every month. If your child prefers you may pack a lunch for them. If you are going to send a lunch in please make sure your child's name is on their lunch pal.
** When sending in money please make sure it goes in an envelope with your child's name and the purpose of the money on the envelope. Then you need to place that envelope in the pencil pouch in your child's folder.
SNEAKERS- Please make sure to wear or bring sneakers on the days we have P.E. and for the playground.
PLAYGROUND- We will go on the playground daily and it is important that your child dresses for the weather. No open toe shoes, flip flops or Crocs are allowed on the playground.
