AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART! If we have snow days or after school practices have to be canceled, this Saturday's practice is going to have to be lengthened. I apologize and am very sorry about this but we are going to have to deal with this weather! If we seem OK, I won't change the time. Remember, if you have previous plans and you can't come, I won't hold that against you. This is the time step up!

2/21  2:00-7:00 (hopefully that's it)  remember this will be torture tech rehearsal….everyone 27

 

2/22  3:00-5:00 kids

 

2/23  6:00-8:00 maybe 8:30 but if you have to go at eight that's fine  stage crew and actors

 

2/24  repeat of above

 

2/25  6:00-9:00 kids and Sharon stage crew

 

2/26 3:00 to 6:00  (7:00?)  Karen's choice  kids/ Sharon  only

 

2/27 4:00 to 7:00 dance may go later

 

2/28 4:00 8:30 full rehearsal w/ everyone

 

3/1  6:30 to 10:00

 

*3/2 OFF  this is a change and if we have a snowday we will need to have it.

 

*3/3 6:30-10:00-----actors and actresses at 5:00

 

3/4  6:30- 10:00 curtain dress rehearsal actors and actress at 5:00

*I HAD ORIGIONALLY HAD EVERYONE COMING ON TUESDAY AND HAVING WEDNESDAY OFF. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE OTHER WAY AROUND.  SINCE I ASKED YOU TO KEEP THIS OPEN INCASE OF A SNOWDAY I HOPE YOU CAN ALL COME, BUT IF YOU CAN'T LET ME KNOW ASAP!

You have to figure out the what the rolling credits say. A little job for you. Sorry about the quality.

I know this year has had a crazy start so far but, I can only say that is in keeping with the title of the show!  Sorry.  Even though the show rehearsals don't start until after Christmas break, tap dancing isn't something you just pick up (OK it isn't something I just pick up!) so we have to meet with Ms. Drake early. You need to be at these dance rehearsals before break, Friday, December 18 from 3-5, Saturday, December 19, 4-6, and Sunday, December 20, 1-3. You can miss Sunday if you have a church conflict.

The dancing has to be magnificent! Surrounding schools will be featuring some great choreography in their shows this year, and we have the means to put on a terrific performance as well. Since there is such a limited amount of practice time, we have to take advantage of every minute. Ms. Drake will be with us on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, NO skipping unless you have a REALLY good reason. and you have to let one of us know if you can't make it. (796 5274....feel free to text if you are sending me a message about the play).  The money for your tap shoes came out of the All School Musical Account.....hold your breath.....56 dollars a pair. We have more than enough money at this point, but if we are buying shoes, I need feet in them.

Now my personal opinion:  If I were in high school and someone told me I could learn to tap dance for free with a bunch of my friends, I would jump on that. I am now, and although I was definitley the weakest in the bunch, I practiced for 45 minutes last night and my shuffle ball changes are really much better!  We will have such a great time and for many of you, this will be the last time we work together. Mrs. Rankins-Burd will be accompanying us this year.  

I'm really excited!  Hope you are too.
